About the event

This April, in observance of Sexual Assault Awareness Month (SAAM), Family Services of Southern Wisconsin is proud to announce a series of events aimed at raising awareness and providing advocacy for victims of sexual assault. With a steadfast commitment to supporting survivors and educating the community, Family Services is taking a proactive stance to highlight the critical issue of sexual assault through engaging and informative activities.

One of the cornerstone events this year is the SAAM Bingo, set to take place at the Beloit Public Library on April 18. This unique event is designed not only as a means of raising awareness but also as a supportive community gathering that offers education, resources, and solidarity for those affected by sexual assault. The SAAM Bingo promises an afternoon of community engagement, with information sessions interwoven with the bingo activities to provide attendees with valuable knowledge and resources related to sexual assault prevention and support.

Family Services of Southern Wisconsin is dedicated to creating a safe space for conversation, support, and action against sexual assault. The SAAM Bingo event is part of a broader campaign by Family Services to empower survivors, educate the public, and advocate for change in our community and beyond.

In addition to the SAAM Bingo, Family Services of Southern Wisconsin has organized a series of events and activities throughout the month designed to engage different segments of the community in meaningful dialogue and action against sexual assault. These events include educational workshops, awareness campaigns, and advocacy initiatives, all aimed at fostering a community that supports survivors and works collectively to prevent sexual assault.

“We believe that awareness leads to action, and through events like SAAM Bingo, we are able to bring our community together to stand in solidarity with survivors of sexual assault," said Joan Curtis, title of Family Services of Southern Wisconsin. "Sexual Assault Awareness Month is a crucial time for us to spread knowledge, offer support, and advocate for those who have been affected. We invite everyone in our community to join us in this important cause."

Family Services of Southern Wisconsin is committed to offering ongoing support and resources to survivors of sexual assault and their families. For more information about the SAAM Bingo event and other SAAM activities, please visit www.familyservices1.org or contact us at 608.365.1244.
