Family Services of Southern Wisconsin Announces "An Evening in White: Voices of Triumph over Trauma"
On July 13th, Family Services of Southern Wisconsin will host a pivotal event, "An Evening in White: Voices of Triumph over Trauma," to celebrate the journeys of resilience and recovery from violence and trauma for clients who live in Rock and Green County. This event underscores the organization's dedication to assisting those most vulnerable in our communities, marking a significant celebration of our collective past, present, and future triumphs over trauma.
Adopting an all-white theme to symbolize unity and peace, "An Evening in White" invites attendees to partake in a visual and thematic statement against all forms of violence. This color choice reflects our solidarity, showing that, devoid of color, we all share the impact of these issues, emphasizing our commitment to healing and support for one another.
The evening will be enriched with a variety of experiences designed to cater to our guests' senses and spirits. Attendees can look forward to savoring an array of appetizers, indulging in delectable desserts, and enjoying a candy and popcorn bar that promises to delight. Four specialty drink stations will offer a taste for every palate.
Entertainment for the night will include music from Lude and his Lady and there will be raffles and other engaging fundraising activities, providing guests with opportunities to win prizes while supporting a noble cause.
At its core, "An Evening in White" is an opportunity for survivors, advocates, and the community to come together. There will be a short program where we will share survivor stories, and celebrate the victories over adversity. Family Services of Southern Wisconsin is honored to facilitate this moment of reflection, unity, and joy as we continue our mission to empower individuals and heal communities.
This event is open to the public and tickets will be on sale soon! This event is a a chance for us all to unite, acknowledging the strength found in our shared experiences and the hope that guides us forward.
